My 25 years’ talent management & development experience in a wide spectrum of business sectors – finance, media, technology, information services, public sector – means that I know exactly what makes people tick and what businesses can do to create the right culture, whether it be digital transformation, a high performance environment, a creative and innovative atmosphere or one of continuous improvement.
And it’s not only what you know, but who you know. I have a vast network of professional contacts in different fields that I can call on, so you can benefit from their expertise too.
I like to keep things simple. Let’s not over-complicate things and don’t blind people with theory and jargon. Too often, specialist terminology acts as a barrier to understanding. I like to give my clients a clear understanding of the way forward, something that will help you achieve buy-in.
I was born in Zambia and moved to Britain with my family when I was a small child. While working for Royal Mail I discovered my passion for learning and development and it has driven me ever since. I love to travel and to push myself into new and exciting places and activities, from cruising in the Arctic Ocean to horse riding in the New Forest.
So, more about me out of work… I enjoy most music genres from classical to rock (I just don’t quite get jazz!); beekeeping; and relaxing at a spa as an occasional treat.
Family and friends are very important to me. People describe me as loyal, kind, compassionate and with a good sense of humour and (appropriate!) fun and this is how I interact with colleagues.
My perfect imaginary 24 hours with no travel restrictions?
The day would start waking up at my favourite B&B, Newton Farmhouse in the New Forest, UK and have their perfectly cooked full English breakfast. I’d then horse ride through the New Forest looking at the beautiful scenery.
A mid morning coffee and delicious piece of honey cake at Kalnciema Market, Riga Latvia. Then browse the art galleries in St Ives, Cornwall before heading to Porthminster Beach café for lunch.
After lunch I’d head to Ragdale Spa, UK for exercise and pampering. Dinner would be dining alfresco with plates of antipasti with family overlooking the rolling Tuscan hills, Italy. Finally, set sail out of Venice to dance the night away with family and friends on a Mediterranean cruise.
